MODULE 3
PIXELATED CARDS
Pixelated cards are our version of "Flash Cards". On one side of each card there is a figure from the corresponding modules. Lines point to a variety of structures, but the labels are removed. Your challenge is to identify the structures - then you turn the card over to check your answer against ours. Of course, knowing the names of things is necessary, but pure "naming exercises" can be dull. More importantly, what you really need to know is the function carried out by each structure. So, the computer version of the cards also contains some questions and answers. To work with them, click on MODULE 3 PIX CARDS and get started.
It might be nice to have actual, physical cards to shuffle through when you happen to have some spare time and are not close to a computer. So, we have set up a way for you to print your own cards. In this case, the "question" is printed on the top half of a standard sheet of 8.5 X 11 paper and the "answer" on the bottom half. Fold the paper in half and "presto" you have a flash card. Look at PixCard 2.1 and all this will be obvious.
